From the architect. The extension was to be fitted in without reducing the area of the playground, and respecting an existing copper beech.

This was done by lovering the terrain, raising the building and incorporating playground storage and technical installations underneath it, thereby freeing up extra space for the playground. The cantilevers create versatile intimate spaces on the playground.

The skewed volume brakes down the scale of building and subdivides the interior space, to create a more intimate atmosphere for the children. Windows in each corner gives close contact to the playground.

All construction is done in timber. The facade is clad in pine lists.
