From the architect. The workshop hall 32 has been converted from a historic industrial facility to an urban event venue. Located in the center of the former Steinmueller factory premises, the workshop is an important component of the overall redevelopment of Gummersbach’s downtown area identifying it as the city’s historically vital production location.

The concept of the architect focused on meeting the specific needs of an event location while making an effort to keep and make use of the existing layout and features.

The main workshop has been converted into a multi-functional event space while back-of-house rooms have been added as needed. The front building has been restored to a restaurant. Many historic features have been kept adding significantly to the atmosphere of the venue.
